La Polvere nella sua definizione, è un insieme di minutissime particelle incoerenti, proprio come noi. É spesso abbinata al tempo, si dice la polvere dei secoli ed è polvere quella che scorre all’interno della clessidra. La via Lattea che costituisce la nostra galassia è pervasa di polvere, polvere di stelle. Le foto con i coriandoli che si dispongono come lontane nebulose di stelle sul volto, costruiscono immaginifiche costellazioni che mischiandosi con i lineamenti, concedono un effimero anonimato. Generano una riflessione su cosa si debba prendere sul serio e perché. Contestualizzandole al nostro tempo diventano metafora del nostro duplice e contraddittorio desiderio di apparire e celarsi, insieme. Un mostrarsi senza danno come la scia luminosa di una cometa, come l’intermittenza di una stella.

The definition of dust is a group of minute incoherent particles, just like us. It’s often connected to the time, it is common to say ‘the dust of the ages’ and it is dust which flows in the hourglass. In the Milky Way, that constitutes our Galaxy, dust (star dust) is all-pervasive. The photos with confetti presenting as distant nebulae on the face, construct imaginative constellations that – mixing with the facial lineaments – grant an ephemeral anonymity. They give you a reflection on what you should take seriously and why. Contextualizing them in our time, the photos become a metaphor of our double and contradictory desire to appear and hide, at once. To exhibit us – without harm – as the bright wake of a comet or the intermittence of a star.
